At the beginning of the winter season, the oh-so-famous Victoria Park was flooded to create a stunning ice trail for all to enjoy. The trail is lit by colourful lights and skaters can have a blast both day and night. Sounds like an awesome family activity, right?!
What’s the best news of all? The ice trail is free for everyone to use. Official opening hours are 10am to 10pm, every day. Besides family fun, the Victoria Park IceWay is the perfect place for a date. Imagine this: a romantic evening, hand-in-hand with your loved one, and an ice rink full of magical light. Since it’s a three-loop skating trail, you can skate laps while enjoying the majestic view of Victoria Park’s impressive forests. Talk about a unique date!
Be sure to always check conditions of the skating park before going on your ice-filled adventure. You can do so through this website - easy peasy, right?! Victoria Park’s ice trail is maintained and monitored on a daily basis. If ever conditions are unsuitable for regular activity, the ice trail will close until the city gives their “okay” to use once again.Parking is available in Victoria Park’s main parking lot as well as in Victoria Park’s east lot and at the Victoria Golf Course.
