The Winter Festival of Lights was founded in 1982. It has since become world renowned and considered the premiere illumination festival in North America. The Winter Festival of Lights boasts millions of sparkling lights across Niagara Falls and its surrounding touristic areas. Visitors will be able to view lights in key spots like Clifton Hill, Dufferin Islands, and Fallsview.

We’re not kidding when we say this festival is a sight to see! In fact, it goes beyond that. If you plan on visiting the acclaimed festival, brace yourself! There’ll be so many breathtaking views.

This year, many visitors have noted that the beautifully lit Niagara SkyWheel is a gorgeous sight from Victoria Avenue. Be sure to take a pic at Fallsview Casino and Casino Niagara - two brand new Giant Ornaments will be displayed at these locations. Halfway through Dufferin Hills, a 20-foot tall display stands tall and proud. Also known as the Sylma, the structure has a diameter of 35 feet. Fallsview hosts a sound and light show - displayed right on the Oakes Hotel. It will be played from Thursday to Sunday at 7pm and 8pm until January 12, 2020

Make this festival a part of your family’s holiday memories. Great for many ages, this festival has no admission, but donations are highly encouraged. Quick! It’s time to visit (and psst: it’ll offer plenty of photo ops - promise!). For more information and a full schedule of events, please visit their official website.
