According to a release issued by the Ontarian government this afternoon, it is proposed for Toronto, Peel and York regions that the Stay-at-Home order will continue until Monday February 22nd. Although Ontario is slowly preparing reopening its economy after long weeks of strict lockdown to flatten the curve, Toronto can expect to be the last of all public health regions to be see restrictions loosened.
According to blogTO, there are some good news to look forward to as the provincewide state of emergency declared on January 12th will finally expire on February 9th. Each region, when deemed safe to do so, will transition from current shutdown restrictions to a revised version of the province’s colour-coded response framework.
Once Toronto will have transitioned out of shutdown and back into the colour-coded framework, Torontonians will be able to go shop in all retail stores again, as long as the capacities are kept at 25% or lower.
Are you excited to finally be able to go out and shop? Or do you think the government should keep the province under lockdown for longer?
