Looking for a thrill? It seems like we all need to do something exciting, especially with everything going on in the world lately.
The COVID-19 pandemic has stopped us from doing a lot of things. Back in March, during the lockdown, people longed to get back to regular life. The difficult phase made us realize to never take things for granted (ie.: just going out for errands!). It’s a relief to see the city finally opening up, but still taking the necessary precautions to keep the population safe.
So let us ask again: are you seeking some adventure? If so, we don’t blame you! If you’re willing to drive outside of the city, then we have some great news from you. In the city of Elora, you can rappel face-first from a 60-foot church bell tower.
Yep, that’s right! Rock climbers, rejoice! This unique experience is something you just HAVE to check out.
The activity is also being referred to as “Urban Rappelling.” The thrill-seeking activity is officially organized by One Axe Pursuits. One Axe Pursuits is a company that specializes in training for rock climbing, ice climbing, and ziplining in the town of Elora - which is only about one hour and a half away from Toronto.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a rock climbing pro to tackle this adventure. This rappel activity is perfect for beginners. Bring your friends (you can book groups of up to 12 people) and try it out! The cost is $150 per person, which will get you 3 rappels or, a 1 hour rappelling session.
The church bell tower is actually a part of One Axe’s office building. It stands at about 6 storeys high. When you arrive to your session, you’re provided with coffee and/or tea.
This is a unique experience you won’t want to miss! Be sure to book your session today!
