With warmer weather approaching, it comes to no surprise that Torontonians are itching to get up and go out. Unfortunately, with the global pandemic taking place, social distancing is a must. This means closures and event cancellations, including a number of our favourite spots like parks, malls, museums, etc.

In the summertime, one of the very best parts of Toronto is Canada’s Wonderland. It normally re-opens for the season by late May, but COVID-19 has obviously changed that.
To this day, Canada’s Wonderland remains the country’s largest theme park. It averages on nearly 4 million visitors a year and covers 330 acres of land. Do you feel like you’re missing out on Canada’s Wonderland? We are too… but we’ve great news! Our favourite theme park just released its recipe for its oh-so-famous funnel cake.
Yes, you read right: FUNNEL CAKE! You can take a look at the recipe here - which also includes the step-by-step instructions on their beloved strawberry sauce. The key to perfecting this recipe is using a jug or squeeze bottle. It’ll help you obtain the perfect funnel cake shape. The recipe also suggests wearing an oven mitt for safety, as the preparation includes frying the batter in order to obtain the crispy texture that funnel cakes are best known for.
For a full-on Canada’s Wonderland experience, we highly recommend making the theme park’s special strawberry sauce. Ice cream is another must - no funnel cake is complete without it!
According to the official website, Canada’s Wonderland 2020 season passes will be extended into 2021. In the meantime, you can experience their POV Cameras and virtually ride some of their famous roller coasters.
