What's not to love about St. Patrick's Day? You get to a chance to don your favourite green threads, the weather's getting warmer, and it's probably the only day of the year where day drinking is socially acceptable. Even though St Paddy's falls on a Sunday this year, don't let that stop you from having tons of Irish-inspired fun all weekend long. Here are the 10 best ways to celebrate this St. Patrick's Day in Toronto!

1. St. Patrick's Day Parade

Hitting the streets one week before the actual holiday, the St. Patrick's Day Parade is the perfect kickoff to all of Toronto's Irish-themed festivities! The parade starts on the corner of Bloor Street and St. George before finishing at Nathan Phillips Square. They'll be tons of live music, traditional Irish dancing, and all sorts of family-friendly fun!

2. Guinness St. Paddy's Day Party

It's only right that Guinness hosts the largest St. Patrick's Day party in the city. Lasting all day on March 16 from 11:30 AM to 9 PM, you can expect live bands with Irish dancers, 2 side rooms hosting multiple DJs, 3 outdoor patios, a massive solarium, plus a free pancake breakfast and Lucky Charms cereal bar! Located on 11 Polson Street, tickets to this adults-only event are very affordable at just $15.

3. Mill Street Brew Pub

With its cobble-stone streets and amazing restaurants, the pedestrian-only Distillery District is a great area to walk around and celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Enjoy a fresh Mill Street beer at their brew pub located in the heart of the district where you can sit by the refinery tanks as the suds are crafted right in front of you!

4. Stout Irish Pub

This quaint watering hole located on 221 Carlton Street will be hosting two Irish-themed events this year. On Saturday, March 16, you can celebrate "St. Practice Day" with tons of local craft beers and live celtic music, and then continue the partying on Sunday for their "Main Event" featuring Irish dancers and, you guessed it, even more beer.
